Description

Indulge in crispy truffle fries, a delightful side that adds flavor and charm to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1–2 tablespoons truffle oil (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (grated, optional)
  • Cooking oil (for frying, such as canola oil or vegetable oil)

Instructions

  1. Start by peeling your russet potatoes, and then cut them into thin fries.
  2. Once cut, place your fries in cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
  3. After soaking, rinse the fries thoroughly under cold water to remove any leftover starch.
  4. In a deep pot or a deep fryer, heat your cooking oil to about 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully add the fries in small batches to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot.
  6. Once fried, remove the crispy fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. Drizzle the warm fries with truffle oil, then toss gently to coat.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, consider air frying or using sweet potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
