  • Author: Mark Bennett
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

A refreshing and nutritious smoothie combining sweet strawberries, creamy bananas, and protein-rich Greek yogurt for the perfect breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Add milk to the blender first, followed by Greek yogurt.
  2. 2. Add the strawberries and banana, breaking the banana into chunks.
  3. 3. Add honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract if using.
  4. 4. Top with ice cubes if using fresh fruit.
  5. 5. Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. 6. Check the consistency and adjust by adding more liquid if too thick or more ice if too thin.
  7. 7. Pour into glasses and serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Notes

Store leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking. For a thicker smoothie bowl consistency, use less milk and top with granola, fresh fruit, and nuts. Frozen fruit eliminates the need for ice and creates a creamier texture.
