Description
Delicious mashup of juicy beef patties topped with melty cheese, rich tomato sauce, and your favorite pizza toppings, all nestled between soft hamburger buns.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your favorite pizza toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Olive oil (for cooking)
- Fresh basil (for garnishing – optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your grill or skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil to prevent sticking. Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Mix gently.
- Shape the mixture into four patties, slightly larger than the buns.
- Add the patties to the hot grill or pan and cook for 4-5 minutes until a crust forms.
- Flip the patties, spoon pizza sauce on top, add mozzarella cheese and desired toppings. Cover to melt cheese for another 3-4 minutes.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a separate pan until golden brown.
- Assemble burgers by placing each cheesy patty between the toasted buns. Garnish with fresh basil and extra pizza sauce if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, opt for ground turkey, whole wheat buns, or part-skim cheese. Pair with fries or salad for a complete meal.
