Description

A refreshing and fruity peach sorbet that’s perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Wash your peaches thoroughly, then halve and pit them. Chop them into chunks and place them in a blender or food processor.
  2. Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat gently over medium, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
  3. Pour the sugar syrup into the blender with the chopped peaches. Add the lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  4. Taste your mixture and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as needed.
  5. Transfer the peach puree to a shallow dish or freezer-safe container and cover it.
  6. Freeze for about 4 to 6 hours, stirring every hour to break up ice crystals.
  7. Once frozen, let it sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For creaminess, consider adding coconut cream or almond milk. Use fresh mint for enhanced flavor. Store properly to maintain freshness.
