  • Author: larsen
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A creamy and savory one-pot pasta dish featuring garlic and Parmesan that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces of pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 3–4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup of frozen peas (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by melting the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, just until fragrant.
  2. Add the pasta to the pot, followed by the chicken or vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cover the pot and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, along with the crushed red pepper flakes.
  5. Let the pasta sit for a minute to thicken, then return the pot to low heat and stir gently until well combined.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Consider using gluten-free pasta for dietary needs and nutritional yeast for a vegan option.
