Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (or instant yeast)

  • 1 cup warm milk (~110°F / 43°C)

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Optional glaze: powdered sugar + milk

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy (~5 min).

  2. Make Dough: Mix melted butter and egg into yeast mixture. Combine with flour and salt to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise 10 minutes.

  3. Prepare Filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a rectangle, brush with butter, and sprinkle filling evenly.

  4. Form Rolls: Roll dough into a log, slice into equal pieces, and place cut-side up in a greased pan. Let rest 10 minutes.

  5. Bake: Preheat oven and bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
