- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or a combination of butter and olive oil)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Crusty French bread for serving
Instructions
- Start by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt, and bring to a low simmer.
- Add the shrimp, making sure they’re well coated in the sauce.
- Cook the shrimp for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until they’re pink and opaque.
- Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice before removing from heat.
- Plate the shrimp and drizzle any leftover sauce over the top, garnishing with chopped parsley.
- Serve the shrimp with crusty French bread.
Notes
For a lighter option, swap butter for olive oil. Adjust cayenne for desired heat level.
