Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 green onions, chopped

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat if needed.

  2. Add Aromatics: Stir in garlic and ginger; cook 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. Add Sauce: Mix in soy sauce and brown sugar. Stir well to combine.

  4. Simmer: Reduce heat and let simmer 5–10 minutes to meld flavors.

  5. Prepare Rice: Cook rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork.

  6. Serve: Spoon beef mixture over rice. Top with chopped green onions, drizzle sesame oil, and optional toppings.
