Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat, gluten-free, or panko)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or reduced-sodium soy sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan (if using), egg, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning in a large mixing bowl. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet with space in between.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. Prepare the honey garlic sauce by heating honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan until it simmers. Add cornstarch mixed with water if you want a thicker sauce.
  6. Drizzle the sauce over the baked meatballs, coating them well, and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.

Notes
