  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: parsley, chopped (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Start by melting the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until dissolved but not brown.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, whisking as you go, and stir until the mixture begins to simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Season your sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley right before serving if desired.

Notes

Make sure not to burn the garlic and remove from heat before adding cheese to prevent clumping.
