Description

A simple and creamy homemade Alfredo sauce that elevates any pasta dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1–2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by melting the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Reduce the heat and slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring frequently to combine smoothly.
  3. Add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese gradually, stirring constantly until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, adjusting to taste.
  5. Remove from heat and drizzle over freshly cooked pasta, tossing to coat. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. For a vegan option, try cashew cream or coconut cream with nutritional yeast.
