  • Author: Mark Bennett
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Succulent shrimp coated in a luscious honey garlic sauce that is simple, satisfying, and packed with protein.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced (or 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or sesame oil)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your shrimp. If they’re not already peeled and deveined, clean them thoroughly.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger together.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil.
  4. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start turning pink.
  5. Flip the shrimp over and pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For vegan options, substitute honey with agave or maple syrup, and shrimp with tofu or tempeh. Measure ingredients beforehand to simplify cooking.
