  • Author: mark-bennett
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A creamy, refreshing condiment perfect for dipping vegetables, slathering on grilled meats, or mixing into salads.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the cucumber. Grate it using a box grater, and then place it in a clean towel or cheesecloth. Squeeze it to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, chopped dill, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Gently fold in the grated cucumber until evenly distributed.
  4. Taste the tzatziki and adjust seasonings if desired. Cover the bowl and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

Serve as a dip for fresh vegetables or a topping for grilled meats. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
