Description

Start your day with a delicious and nutritious Healthy Oatmeal Bowl, customizable with endless toppings for a flavorful breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • Fresh fruits (sliced bananas, berries, or apples)
  • Nuts and seeds (almonds, walnuts, or chia seeds)
  • Nut butter (almond butter or peanut butter)
  • Cinnamon or vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings (cacao nibs, granola, or coconut flakes)

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding the old-fashioned oats and your choice of milk into a medium saucepan.
  2. Sprinkle a pinch of salt into the mixture.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir occasionally until the oats soften and absorb most of the liquid, about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Once cooked to your liking, remove from heat and pour in a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
  5. Transfer your oatmeal into a bowl and layer on the chosen toppings.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a splash of vanilla extract before enjoying.

Notes

Feel free to swap ingredients based on dietary preferences. For a vegan option, substitute honey with agave syrup and use non-dairy milk.
