  • Author: Mark Bennett
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

Fresh and flavorful wraps featuring smoky grilled chicken, creamy avocado, and crisp vegetables wrapped in warm tortillas for a satisfying, nutritious meal perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 4–6 large flour tortillas
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade. Coat chicken breasts evenly and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. 2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F). Oil the grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  3. 3. Remove chicken from refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before grilling.
  4. 4. Place chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Avoid flipping repeatedly to ensure proper searing.
  5. 5. Remove chicken from grill and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips.
  6. 6. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side or wrap in damp paper towels and microwave for 15-20 seconds.
  7. 7. Spread sour cream or Greek yogurt down the center of each tortilla, leaving 2 inches clear on the sides.
  8. 8. Layer lettuce, sliced grilled chicken, avocado slices, tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro over the sour cream.
  9. 9. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to create a secure wrap.
  10. 10. Slice diagonally through the middle and serve immediately, or wrap tightly in foil for later enjoyment.

Notes

Store grilled chicken separately in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Assemble wraps no more than 24 hours before eating for best quality. Slice avocados fresh to prevent browning. Wraps can be customized with additional toppings like cheese, jalapeños, or black beans.
