Instructions

- Blend together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Include the vanilla extract and molasses.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until just combined; add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and tap lightly to remove air bubbles.
- Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
