  • Author: Mark Bennett
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A refreshing strawberry watermelon salad drizzled with honey, perfect for summer picnics or backyard dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed
  • 2 cups ripe strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing your strawberries and softly hulling them to remove the green tops. Slice them into thin pieces.
  2. Next, take your watermelon and cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a large bowl, gently combine the watermelon cubes and sliced strawberries.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and lime juice until well-mixed.
  5. Drizzle the honey-lime mixture over the fruit in the salad bowl and toss gently.
  6. For an extra layer of freshness, sprinkle the chopped mint leaves on top.
  7. Allow the salad to stand for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve in a clear glass bowl or individual jars for a beautiful display. Pairs well with grilled proteins or as part of a picnic spread.
