Description

A delightful dessert that combines rich pound cake with the sweet essence of peach cobbler.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 oz) can sliced peaches in syrup, undrained (or 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk mixed with a tablespoon of vinegar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each one is well incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Gradually add this mixture to the butter and egg mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
  5. Fold in the sliced peaches gently, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream or ice cream for added flavor.
