Description
A hearty Cajun seafood boil featuring shrimp, crab, mussels, and clams, coated in rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound shrimp, deveined (shell-on for more flavor)
- 1 pound crab legs (preferably snow or king crab)
- 1 pound mussels, cleaned
- 1 pound clams, rinsed
- 4 ears of corn, cut into halves
- 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 3 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (or more, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by filling a large pot with water—enough to cover all your ingredients—and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add a generous amount of salt.
- Add the baby potatoes to the pot, allowing them to cook for about 10 minutes.
- Toss in the corn halves and onion. Let these simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
- Drop in the shrimp, crab legs, mussels, and clams. Cover the pot and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Carefully drain the water from the pot and transfer everything to a large serving platter.
- Pour the garlic butter sauce generously over the top and toss gently to combine.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve in a casual, family-style manner on a large table covered with butcher paper or newspaper.
