Description

A quick and flavorful recipe for salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and savory brown sugar mixture, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional garnish: sliced green onions or sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet and drizzle the brown sugar mixture over each piece.
  4. Roast the salmon for about 10–12 minutes, keeping a close eye on it.
  5. Remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to rest for a minute.
  6. Sprinkle with sliced green onions or sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Ensure the salmon is just cooked through for the best texture. You can substitute brown sugar with coconut sugar for a healthier option.
