Description
A delicious twist on a classic favorite, this Beef Burger Bowl offers juicy flavors and satisfying textures without the bun.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 for juicy flavor)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mixed greens (like spinach, arugula, or romaine)
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 cup cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 1/4 cup pickles (dill or sweet) for topping
- Optional: your favorite burger sauce (ketchup, mustard, or a creamy dressing)
Instructions
- Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef once it’s hot, breaking it apart with your spatula. Cook until it’s browned and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the beef cooks, season it with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix it well to elevate the flavor.
- Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes while you prep the veggies.
- Get your bowls ready! Start with a base of mixed greens.
- Layer on the cooked ground beef evenly over the greens, then add the diced tomato, cucumber slices, red onion, and avocado.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and finish with pickles and any sauces you’ve chosen.
- Toss it all together for a mixed bowl or leave it layered for a beautiful presentation.
