- 1 pound pizza dough
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- ¾ cup BBQ sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Gouda cheese, shredded
- ½ medium red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 475-500°F and let pizza dough come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
- 2. Stretch dough to desired size and brush with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt.
- 3. Spread ¾ cup BBQ sauce evenly over dough, leaving a small border.
- 4. Sprinkle half the mozzarella and gouda cheese over the sauce.
- 5. Distribute shredded chicken evenly across the cheese layer.
- 6. Add thinly sliced red onions over the chicken.
- 7. Top with remaining cheese to cover all ingredients.
- 8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly with brown spots.
- 9. Remove from oven and let rest 2-3 minutes.
- 10. Garnish with fresh cilantro and slice to serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a 375°F oven for best results. Pizza can be frozen for up to 2 months. For extra crispy crust, pre-bake dough for 5-7 minutes before adding toppings.
