A wonderfully moist and flavorful loaf of banana bread, perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for a deeper flavor)
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts, pecans, chocolate chips, or dried fruit

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas using a fork or potato masher until smooth.
  3. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then add it to the mashed bananas and combine.
  4. Stir in the sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Mix the baking soda and salt into the flour in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in any optional mix-ins like walnuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit.
  7. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Opt for healthier alternatives like applesauce for butter or whole wheat flour for added nutrition.
