Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 lime (juice only)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy clean-up.
- Mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, allspice, thyme, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are thoroughly coated in the marinade.
- Allow the wings to marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour, preferably overnight.
- Arrange the marinated wings on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, then flip the wings and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lime juice over the wings before garnishing with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes
For higher heat, add sliced Scotch bonnet peppers to the marinade. Consider using skinless chicken or tempeh for a lighter option.
