Description
Perfectly cooked salmon fillets with a flavorful garlic and lemon rub, ready in just 15 minutes using your air fryer for a healthy, delicious meal.
Ingredients
- Salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless) – 4 fillets (6 oz each)
- Fresh garlic, minced – 4 cloves
- Fresh lemon juice – 3 tablespoons
- Lemon zest – 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
- Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon
- Paprika – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Fresh parsley, chopped – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- 1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and set aside at room temperature while preparing the rub.
- 2. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until you create a cohesive paste.
- 3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3-5 minutes.
- 4. Spread the garlic lemon rub evenly over the top and sides of each salmon fillet, pressing gently to ensure it adheres.
- 5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- 6. Place salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, leaving at least 1 inch of space between each piece. Cook skin-side down if using skin-on fillets.
- 7. Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and flakes easily with a fork.
- 8. Remove salmon from the air fryer and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
- 9. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and additional lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer at 275°F for 3-4 minutes. This recipe works beautifully with both skin-on and skinless fillets. For thicker fillets, add 2-3 minutes to cooking time. Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
